- →This position is located in the Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH), Section 8 Financial Management Center.
- →PIH's mission is to provide low-income families affordable housing opportunities as they transition to self-sufficiency and homeownership.
- →PIH oversees the administration of HUD's Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, Section 8 Rental Assistance, and Native American Programs through a staff of Headquarters and Field employees.
- →The field structure for PIH consists of 29 Hub Offices and 16 Program Centers that provide oversight, direct monitoring, and coordination for approximately 4,200 public housing authorities.
- →As a Division Director Section 8 Financial Management Center, you will: Directs a staff of financial analysts, program analysts, program assistants, and contractor staff with knowledge of the Section 8 program financial management activities.
- →The Division Director approves all FA reviews of financial documents related to rental assistance payments to owners, managers, and contract administrators.
- →Provides administrative and technical supervision of assigned staff including, but not limited to: evaluating subordinate staff; hearing and resolving group grievances; and proposing training for staff.
- →Assists the Director of the Center in the management, administrative and technical direction of the Center and is accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the assigned Division.
Requirements

- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓A probationary or trial period may be required.

- ✓A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.
