You will serve as a DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY MATERIAL SUPPORT DIVISION, SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will have practical knowledge of basic supply program operations, when such work requires the application of some judgement and analysis to provide services or resolve problems.
- →You will perform recurring kinds of assignments, operations and/or procedures in providing services and resolving issues and problems of a procedural nature in the supply operation of the Material Kiting Branch.
- →You will search for and analyze information, trace sequences of transactions to resolve questions, prepare entries for supply record systems, and provide supply information, reports, and services.
- →You will recommend actions to eliminate problems involved in delivering services of managing material removed from submarines to a designated refurbishment location.
Requirements
- ✓GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree.
- ✓One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study.
- ✓If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
- ✓COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
- ✓GS-11 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
- ✓COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements.
