What You'll Do
- →The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Department of Athletics, anticipates filling the TERM (full-time) position of Director, Development & Institutional Strategy.
- →This is a Title 10 Excepted Service Appointment.
- →Appointment is not to exceed 5 years.
- →Extensions and/or Subsequent re-appointments may be considered based upon an assessment of performance, Air Force and departmental needs, and funding availability.
- →Position will perform administratively determined faculty duties in the Department of Athletics, United States Air Force Academy.
- →The incumbent serves as Director, Development and Institutional Strategy, supporting Directorate of Athletics strategic initiatives, organizational development, institutional engagement, and intercollegiate athletics program coordination.
- →Duties include developing analyses, plans, assessments, and courses of action; advising and coordinating with Academy leaders, mission partners, Military Service Academies, Air Force organizations, NCAA/conference partners, and other athletics stakeholders; and supporting the effective execution of physical education, athletic, and cadet-athlete programs.
- →The position leads Directorate-level organizational development efforts, including professional development, leadership development, new coach orientation, transition assistance, mentoring, team-captain engagement, and related initiatives for coaches, staff, and cadet-athletes.
- →The incumbent also performs faculty service and administrative duties, participates in governance and program improvement activities, supports student-athlete engagement programs, and promotes professional, ethical, leadership, and character-development standards consistent with USAFA institutional outcomes and applicable guidance.
Requirements
- ✓EDUCATION: If selected, you will be requested to provide original copies of ALL OFFICIAL transcripts for degrees being pursued or obtained (or letter of degree completion if an OFFICIAL transcript is not available due to recent graduation) to support your educational claims as stated in your curriculum vitae.
- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓For a transcript to be considered OFFICIAL, it should be printed on university letterhead and the registrar's official seal/signature must appear on the transcript.
- ✓Your transcripts must also reflect the degree awarded/conferred date.
- ✓Transcripts labeled UNOFFICIAL will not be accepted.
- ✓Upon request, ensure you include ALL transcripts to support your educational claims as stated in your curriculum vitae (resume) even if not required for this position.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements.
- ✓However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e.
- ✓AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S.
- ✓Standard of Education Conversion.
