About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare(CM). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist referred to here as the Director, GS-0107-15, you will lead the division in supervising staff to develop and conduct analyses to implement the Negotiation and Inflation Rebate programs under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
What You'll Do
- →Provides authoritative technical expertise and staff oversight of data analysis and research tasks required to implement the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program and the Medicare Prescription Drug Inflation Rebate Program.
- →Leverages mastery of the wide range of laws, policies, regulations, precedents, legislation, issues, and program goals, including current trends and initiatives, to develop and implement new analytical approaches.
- →Conducts research and analysis and serves as a technical authority on critical operational matters related to policies necessary to assure appropriate implementation of the Negotiation and Inflation Rebate Programs and related legislation.
- →Leverages sophisticated analysis of a variety of data sets to support implementation of drug price negotiations and inflation rebates.
