About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center with the Directorate of Clinical Support, Radiology Division in San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Independently conduct complex 3D and 2D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body, ensuring precise image acquisition for diagnostic purposes.
- →Receive and instruct patients by explaining procedures, methods, safety precautions, and risks, position them accurately, start intravenous lines (IV) as needed, and produce required images for examinations.
- →Identify and correct image artifacts to enhance quality, collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for both standard and complex cases, and promptly notify physicians of significant findings during exams.
- →Administer emergency medications under physician guidance and manage emergency equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen, and suction devices.
- →Retrieve and present images to radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
- →Assist in the triage of scheduling patients.
- →Train other staff in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
