About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist within Naval Hospital Okinawa on Camp Foster, Japan. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Confer with radiologists to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations and determines technical factors, positioning, number and thickness cut of scans, etc., to satisfy the requirements.
- →Under the direction of the physician, performs the full range of breast imaging examinations and procedures ranging from the routine to complex and difficult using highly specialized mammography and ultrasound equipment.
- →Conduct digital breast tomosynthesis, performs stereotactic biopsies (both prone and upright), handles tissue specimen and biopsy core imaging.
- →Administer galactography, fine needle aspirations, cyst aspirations, and biopsy procedures.
- →Maintain knowledge of the department's imaging equipment Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures and perform and document tests as recommended by the imaging device vendor.
