About the Role

About the Position: Serve as the Deputy Director of Emergency Services at a multi-mission military installation responsible for law enforcement and fire protection/prevention that encompasses a variety of sensitive and critical garrison wide programs directly affecting the life, health, and safety of all garrison employees, students, family members, retirees, and visitors.

What You'll Do

  • Represent Emergency Services in meetings with senior leadership, other organizations, and external stakeholders.
  • Set standards and plans/coordinates work priority, training, and exercises for Law Enforcement, Fire Protection/Prevention, Physical Security, and Vehicle Registration personnel to ensure they are prepared for emergencies.
  • Ensure all Emergency Services Divisions are coordinated and working to support the organizations mission.
  • Maintain all personnel are trained and certified in their respective areas of expertise, and that they receive ongoing training to maintain their skills.
  • Require that Emergency Services personnel are trained and equipped to respond to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) incidents.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and other emergencies.
  • Manage all aspects of the Directorate budget and spending plan.
