What You'll Do
- →This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Assistant Administrator - Field Operations - Tax Audit Division.
- →As a Deputy Director for Tax Audit Division, you will: Manage all tax audit activities for the Bureau's excise tax audit program to include planning, developing, directing, coordinating, evaluating, and monitoring audit policies, programs, systems, and procedures.
- →Provide leadership and direction to a group of highly technical professionals involved in federal excise tax auditing and the development of policy and standards in accordance with Treasury, OMB, and GAO requirements and guidance.
- →Provide briefings and presentations to Senior Staff at TTB and Treasury on the results of tax audits completed.
Requirements

- ✓National Education Requirements: Degree: accounting, auditing; or a degree including auditing courses in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting.
- ✓The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law; OR Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge.
- ✓The applicant's background must also include one of the following: Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality.
- ✓The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency.
