About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Provider Enrollment and Oversight Group (PEOG). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will serve as the Deputy Director, Division of Provider Enrollment and Appeals (DPEA).
What You'll Do
- →Supports the Division Director in staff oversight, including planning and assigning work, establishing priorities, evaluating employee performance, managing leave, and addressing and resolving staff complaints.
- →Promotes equitable workload and resource distribution across teams and provides strategic guidance on management, training, and administrative matters, including delegations of authority, organizational analysis, and internal controls.
- →Reviews and renders determinations on provider/supplier enrollment Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and reconsiderations.
- →Tracks, reviews, and analyzes appeal decisions at the first level and identifies programmatic vulnerabilities in Medicare and Medicaid to mitigate fraud, waste, and abuse.
- →Communicates analytical results, recommendations, and solutions clearly, orally and in writing, and produces a range of deliverables including briefings, correspondence, evaluations, issue papers, and reports.
