What You'll Do
- →Serves as the senior executive within the Capability Program Executive (CPE) Defensive Fires, Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires, ASA (ALT) responsible for leading the Army's portfolio of defensive fires capabilities, including air and missile defense interceptors, radars, counter-UAS, and related fire control systems.
- →Serves as a policy and decision-making entity on matters arising with the Army complex regarding assigned systems.
- →Oversees full-spectrum acquisition life-cycle activities, from concept development and prototyping through production, fielding, and sustainment.
- →This position plays a critical role in enabling the Army's ability to defeat a wide range of aerial and missile threats across all echelons in support of joint and multi-domain operations.
- →Acquisition Position Information: 1.
- →This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP).

- →Advanced level certification must be met within 4 years of appointment to the position.
Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be a U.S.

- ✓One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- ✓You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you have previously completed the probationary period in the SES.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓You must be able to submit and pass designated and/or Random Drug Testing as required.
- ✓File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report OGE-278e within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
- ✓Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓You must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate clearance and access level for this position.
- ✓Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- ✓The incumbent is required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, and other modes as required, under conditions specified under the DoD Joint Travel Regulations.
- ✓The incumbent is expected to travel on short notice to attend high level meetings to obtain resolution of problems and gather information to assist in the decision-making process.
- ✓Mobility: An essential element of the SES is mobility across geographic, organizational and functional lines.
