About the Role
About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), located at Fort Eisenhower, Augusta, GA. This position is a multi provider dental office with duty hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30p.m., Monday-Friday. Applicant can expect to achieve a greater understanding of dentistry and work in cooperative and motivated environment. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform inter-oral procedures as directed by dentist.
- →Obtains preliminary dental impressions to support fabrication of diagnostic study models.
- →Operates dental radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images that support provider evaluation and treatment planning.
- →Receive and schedule patients for treatment.
- →Prepare and arrange all instruments and materials needed for each treatment.
- →Sterilizes dental instruments, materials, and equipment using approved infection-control protocols to ensure compliance with clinical safety standards.
- →Take and record blood pressure and pulse of oral surgery patients before and after treatment.
- →Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and students.
- →Prepares surgical trays by arranging sterilized instruments and supplies according to procedure-specific requirements.
- →Removes sutures in accordance with clinical provider instructions to support postoperative healing assessments.
- →Places and removes rubber dams to isolate teeth and maintain a controlled operative environment.
