This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings (SOB). The Senate Office Buildings is seeking a reliable and hardworking (Night) Custodial Worker to perform a wide range of cleaning and other custodial duties in an assigned group of rooms, offices, and public spaces in the Senate Office Buildings.
What You'll Do
- →The tour of duty for this position is: Tuesday thru Saturday - 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- →(night shift) This is an Essential-Employee Position.
- →The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations.
- →Work schedule will require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.
- →This announcement will be used to fill night shift positions only.
- →Responsibilities: Performs a wide range of custodial duties in areas such as buildings, conference rooms, hallways, restrooms and restaurant facilities.
- →Performs duties such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming; washes walls and windows, dusts and performs other cleaning duties.
- →Cleans offices, meeting chambers and recreational facilities.
- →Dusts desks, furniture and other equipment.
- →Cleans and mops lavatories and locker rooms and replaces soap or towels.
- →Empties wastebaskets and collect and dispose of refuse.
- →Assists with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc. by moving and arranging chairs, tables and other furniture or equipment and Unload, move supplies.
- →Uses and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools such as vacuums, brooms, buffers, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, and furniture.
- →Collects and sort recyclable material, including aluminum cans, plastic, and glass bottles and newspaper.
Requirements
