About the Position: This position is with Evans Army Community Hospital, Directorate of Executive Quality Management at Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Establish and/or maintain privileged healthcare providers' credentials in the Centralized Credentialing Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) for appropriate Healthcare Providers, and staff.
- →Establish and maintains a credentialing and privileging profile in CCQAS for all applicable active duty, civil service, contract, and/or voluteer non-privileged healthcare providers.
- →Coordinate and facilitates the initial evaluation, renewal, and modification of clinical privileges.
- →Coordinate and facilitates the award of enterprise-wide and inter-facility custody transfer brief privileges.
- →Manage credentialing and privileging requirements for Nurses, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Specialists, Dentists, and other health care providers.
- →Review credentialing applications submitted by prospective civilian and contract employees to include, but not limited to verifications of education, training, and licensure, to determine their suitability.
- →Gather and verify information on the professional education and specialized training of all clinical support staff and health care providers requesting employment at the hospital.
- →Ensure verification of all background information used in establishing a provider's verified medical and professional expertise prior to employment at facilities.
- →Prepare monthly reports listing all providers with licenses/registrations/certifications, privileges, and other requirements.
- →Supporting the monthly Credentialing Committee Function and credentialing and privilege document generation and routing for leadership signature.
