About the Role
The position is located at the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC, and is organizationally aligned within the Health Administration Service, serving as a Training Specialist.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Provides computer-assisted instruction.
- →Applies a wide range of teaching tools.
- →Runs reports.
- →Meets the needs of customers while supporting the VA mission.
- →Consistently communicates with and treats customers in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
- →Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately.
- →Knowledge of theories, concepts, principles, and techniques that enable innovative adjustments to standard educational methodologies.
- →Knowledge of trainer/facilitator skills, oral and written communication skills, negotiation techniques, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people with differing backgrounds.
- →Knowledge of theories, principles, practices, and techniques of program evaluation and measurement and management tools and techniques.
- →Provides leadership and guidance as an educational advisor and consultant.
- →Projects appropriate budgetary requirements and maintains training schedules.
- →Conducts analyses of training requirements and needs through use of surveys, job analyses, interviews, and personal collaborations.
