This position is located in Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Alterations & Repair Program (ARP), serving as a Construction Control Representative. The incumbent plans, coordinates, designs, and inspects reimbursable projects for DoD agencies. Duties include providing quality assurance and safety oversight for the repair, alteration, and construction of complex building systems and secure facilities using established engineering principles.

- →Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as the on-site representative for construction projects, providing oversight to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, security protocols, and safety requirements, while maintaining detailed inspection reports and project documentation.
- →Performs "cradle to grave" project management, including the development of detailed project plans, schedules, and resource estimates, while troubleshooting technical issues and initiating change orders as needed.
- →Acts as a technical expert for facility systems, coordinating the design development of complex projects that involve multiple engineering disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical, to produce complete construction documents.
- →Plans, monitors, and evaluates complex engineering designs and studies; develops project specifications and requirements; and ensures the efficient use of CADD systems for design work and the maintenance of record drawings.
- →Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), with responsibility for evaluating contractor performance, and reviews all major project deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Pentagon design standards and building codes.
