About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Clarksville, Tennessee about 45 miles northwest of Nashville.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Construction Control Representative that performs quality assurance and COR duties.
- →Provide technical administration, inspection, control and acceptance of assigned work performed under contract of new construction, maintenance and repair, and service-type contracts supported by the Directorate of Public Works (DPW).
- →Represent DPW to military and civilian personnel, other agencies, contractors, commanders, public agencies, Corps of Engineers-District Engineer representatives, etc. to facilitate construction controls.
- →Review drawings and specifications to become familiar with construction plan and specifications in order to determine feasibility of project; compatibility with existing facilities; availability of materials; and, to identify potential problems.
- →Develop cost estimates for changes to construction plans and specifications and performs negotiates that would impact the contractor or their representatives.
