What You'll Do
- →Reviews project plans and specifications prior to construction contract solicitation to determine practicability from a construction standpoint; i.e., physical obstructions such as wetlands or topography or other construction difficulties.
- →Attends pre bid and bid opening conferences to discuss principal construction features and requirements, in terms of methods, equipment and administration of activities at the site.
- →Provides oversight of a detailed site survey conducted by the contractor for plotting of profiles, cross sections and setting lines, levels and grades of pertinent features of the construction project.
- →Observes and investigates construction activities of all contractors on-site at all stages to identify and resolve problems, resulting in timely action in order to change detail or make recommendations prior to the occurrence of construction deficiencies.
- →Supervises inspections of the construction operations for compliance with plans and specifications.
