About the Role

The Deputy Assistant Secretary of War - Readiness Analytics (DASW-RA) Lead Engineer position is located in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Readiness Analytics, within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Readiness (ASW (R)) in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness (USW (P&R)).

What You'll Do

  • Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a technical authority over the portfolio of information technology (IT) systems managed by ODASW(RA).
  • Provides subject matter expertise in software design and capabilities.
  • Delivers oversight and directs software design efforts, chairs design reviews and translates systems requirements into applications prototypes.
  • Provides authoritative technical briefings to senior leaders, including three and four staff general or flag officers or senior executive equivalents.
  • Ensures the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.

  • GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.
