About the Position: This is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Quality Assurance), GS-0644-12 position. Located at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune - Blood Services Department This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Oversee Quality Assurance structuring, directing, and managing a systematic QA program whose purpose is monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of Blood Services.
- →Uses data and reports from available information systems to identify and research deviations from established procedures and other events with the potential to affect patient and blood donor care.
- →Facilitates monthly and quarterly QA meetings.
- →Develops performance PI initiatives action plans for the department.
- →Reviews/edits SOPs as required.
- →Develops and implements systems to identify, catalogue, categorize, trend, and analyze all department variances from standard operation procedures.
- →Performs focused audits, scheduled audits in accordance with local standards.
