About the Role

What You'll Do

  • The incumbent of this position serves as the Automotive Worker Foreman and is primarily involved in the operation and production of a factory engaged in the rebuilding and re-manufacturing or maintenance, repair and up-fitting of a wide variety of complex vehicular equipment and components for various agencies of the federal government, including the military, by utilizing an inmate workforce.
  • Responsible for technical and administrative supervision of inmates who use trades and labor skills to re-manufacture finished products according to required specifications and deadlines.
  • Must also possess skill and knowledge regarding the supervision of trades and craft work which employs low skilled and very poorly motivated workers.
  • Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
  • The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
