About the Role
PLEASE NOTE: Based on the current hiring restrictions, selectees may be subject to additional approvals prior to an offer being extended. This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Program Support and Audit Division. As an Auditor (Financial/Performance)(Senior Auditor), you will be responsible for providing analysis and advice regarding the accounting programs, financial systems, business processes, and or shared services administered by the organization.
What You'll Do
- →These reviews are conducted under the guidance of Government Accountability Office (GAO) auditing regulations.
- →Lead the coordination of the annual review of FA's financial reporting controls in accordance with OMB A-123 Appendix A.
- →Work with users throughout Treasury who operate and manage the collections systems being reviewed.
- →May contact personnel from other government agencies to participate in testing of internal controls.
- →Provide technical guidance to other auditors as they plan, prepare, and execute fieldwork program for A-123 using interviews, sampling techniques, observations, flow charts, confirmations, and other techniques.
- →Serve as a technical expert and consultant to management, staff and or customers and stakeholders on controversial, complex, and difficult audit issues or projects that require escalation; Such issues may require the development of unique or new approaches to address issues that cannot be resolved through more routine and accepted practices.
