The Cargo Mission Manager (CMM) with the Mission Integration and Operations Office ensures end-to-end integration, verification, and safe delivery of cargo required to sustain ISS operations, crew health, technology, and research objectives. You will directly support mission-essential services by coordinating cargo readiness, resolving technical issues, and enabling real-time decision-making across spacecraft providers, engineering teams, and operations personnel.
What You'll Do
- →Leads, provides direction to a cargo mission team for pressurized cargo involving verification, operations, launch processing, logistics, international partner (IP), and payload integration for flights to the International Space Station (ISS).
- →Leads the coordination and development of pressurized cargo integration processes with IP's and appropriate NASA disciplines.
- →Includes leading pressurized cargo integration discussions, reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings with NASA and IP’s.
- →Manages NASA and contractor efforts necessary to integrate and deliver mission integration and operations products including all cargo integration products for assigned missions.
- →Manages pressurized cargo integration requirements, products and planning to ensure consistency with ISS Program policies and processes for the flight.
- →Resolves all pressurized cargo integration issues and ensures that ISS Program requirements are integrated with all program elements such as: Flight Operations Directorate, Safety, Engineering, Transportation Integration, and hardware owners.
- →Assigns and manages cargo integration actions and ensures decisions and closure rationale are documented.
Requirements
- ✓If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.
- ✓Degrees in engineering technology are not considered qualifying for this position.
