Join one of the Department of Justice's leading Human Resources programs. The Civil Division seeks an Assistant Human Resources Officer for the Accountability and Development Team to lead HR accountability, process improvement, and workforce development initiatives. The position shapes HR systems, develops HR professionals, and supports Division-wide training programs for attorneys, paralegals, and supervisors at key career stages.
What You'll Do
- →As a GS- 0201-15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Supervises HR Specialists and support staff.
- →Assigns and reviews work, sets priorities, evaluates performance, and addresses staffing, conduct, and training needs.
- →Provides coaching and development to build staff capability and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- →Leads HR accountability and quality assurance activities across the Division.
- →Develops standardized HR processes, procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
- →Conducts internal audits and reviews of HR programs and personnel actions, identifies risks and improvement opportunities, and recommends corrective actions.
- →Develops performance measures to evaluate HR service quality and effectiveness.
- →Directs HR staff development programs, including training, mentoring, and career development initiatives.
- →Designs competency models and training programs across HR functional areas.
- →Identifies skill gaps and develops strategies to strengthen long-term HR workforce capability, including succession planning.
- →Leads Division-wide employee and leadership development programs for attorneys, paralegals, supervisors, and managers.
- →Develops and delivers training programs, onboarding, and leadership development initiatives.
- →Coordinates blended learning approaches and evaluates program effectiveness to improve workforce capability.
- →Supports HR strategic planning and organizational improvement initiatives.
