The Office of Investor Education and Assistance (OIEA) is seeking an Assistant Director. As an Assistant Director, you will serve tens of thousands of investors who contact the SEC each year with investment-related questions and complaints. The investor education team participates in more than 500 investor education events every year and produces Investor Alerts and Bulletins to educate and protect investors.
What You'll Do
- →In this role as Assistant Director, you will be responsible for: Managing, assigning and coordinating the work of teams of attorneys and other staff in a collaborative and positive environment to achieve OIEA objectives and Commission priorities.
- →Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and communication with Commission staff at all levels.
- →Consulting and coordinating with other regulators, SROs, broker-dealers, and other financial market participants, as well as Commission staff as necessary and appropriate to complete assignments.
- →Evaluating and refining processes to improve efficiency, reduce redundancies, and ensure the OIEA's work supports mission delivery.
- →Creating or supporting the creation of content on key securities topics, including investing principles, emerging products, and violations of securities laws to support OIEA initiatives.
