The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is looking for two talented Assistant Directors (ADs) of Training located at Cheltenham, Maryland; Artesia, New Mexico; Charleston, South Carolina and/or Glynco, Georgia. These positions provide leadership responsibility and authority for the management of law enforcement training at FLETC from basic through advanced and specialized training. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be available.
What You'll Do
- →The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is looking for two talented Assistant Directors (ADs) of Training in the National Capital Region Training Operations Directorate (NCR) and Core Training Operations Directorate (CTO).
- →These positions report to the Associate Director for Training Operations and may be located in Cheltenham, MD; Glynco, GA; Artesia, NM; and/or Charleston, SC.
- →The ADs ensure training and organizational goals and objectives are developed, managed and performed effectively, and that component expectations and program requirements are met.
- →The ADs provide broad leadership in matters related to the FLETC's training mission, long-range law enforcement training plans, and executive policy development.
- →The ADs direct the efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure maximum utilization of training space and/or human and other resources to support the FLETC's law enforcement training mission.
- →The Ads serve to develop, implement and promulgate high-quality, effective training and training management policies enterprise wide.
- →Responsibilities include: Providing executive leadership, strategic planning, and quality assurance in the development, delivery, and evaluation of law enforcement training programs.
- →Overseeing the development, modification and evaluation of law enforcement training programs designed to meet current and future operational trends and developments.
- →Reviewing existing training programs for necessary modification or improvement; reviewing proposals and specifications for new programs; and soliciting input from clientele law enforcement agencies regarding accuracy and timeliness of training provided at training sites.
- →Providing oversight and direction to subordinate Deputy Assistant Director/Site Director and managers who administer program policies, budgets, and total resources within the AD's directorate.
- →Developing long-range goals and objectives for FLETC to ensure consistency of law enforcement training programs, including evaluation criteria and methodology to quantify merit of format, relevance, and consistency of content and delivery.
- →Performing liaison with all Partner Organizations (PO) training executives and other law enforcement departments and agencies; establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with administrators, academia, and staff of universities.
- →Representing the FLETC Director, Deputy Director and Associate Director of Training Operation on matters related to law enforcement training management at the departmental level; seeking out and developing law enforcement contacts to expand FLETC's partnerships and program coverage.
- →Collaborating with the other ADs to ensure successful integration of law enforcement training management with related programs and operations of other organizational elements of FLETC and POs.
