About the Role

This vacancy is for a GS - 0808 - 12/13, Architect located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, FACILITIES DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION CENTER-SEATTLE WA in SEATTLE, Washington.

What You'll Do

  • →You will serve as a Architect and be responsible for procuring, coordinating and managing the design and construction related services provided by Architectural/Engineering firms.
  • →Projects range in costs as high as $50 million and run for as long as 5 years in duration.
  • →Projects include new construction of CG facilities or repair, maintenance, modification or renovation of existing facilities.
  • →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
  • →Typical work assignments include: Directing and mentoring the assigned in-house architectural team, establishing clear performance expectations and coordinating daily workloads to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • →Tracking and controlling the master project progress schedule, ensuring all phases of development adhere to established timelines.
  • →Managing project milestones and financial parameters to guarantee that all deliverables are completed on schedule and within the designated budget.
  • →Overseeing the integration of specialized engineering inputs, balancing resources and schedules to deliver extensive, first-of-their-kind infrastructure assets.
  • →Coordinating and integrate diverse project team in execution of assigned projects.
