About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
What You'll Do
- →WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Architect , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Serves as a technical expert for architects and engineers and advises Federal and state agencies and private architectural and engineering personnel regarding methods and procedures for highly complex design systems.
- →Furnish architectural project consultation and technical evaluation services to program staff, project applicants, Federal and state agencies with specific emphasis on services during the early stages of project design development, where deficiencies are noted, directs necessary changes and furnishes assistance as required.
- →Performs predesign site utilization analysis, oversees comprehensive planning activities, including technical representation on the site selection and develops design criteria in response to program requirements.
- →Performs site and funding utilization analysis and assists in comprehensive planning and monitoring activities in response to program requirements.
- →Maintains liaison with program staff as well as providing expertise and recommendations to other engineers and architects on complex, unusual architectural designs, issues, and situations; as required or as directed, provides competent expert advice and assistance to other teams and offices to carry out the Bureau's mission and goals.
