Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer, to serve as a standardization/evaluation officer responsible for standardization and evaluation, of aircrew member ground and flight performance in assigned aircraft and management of the unit aircrew standardization/evaluation program in an AFRC Operations Group.
- →Accomplishes a variety of administrative duties related to flight instruction, evaluation and mission accomplishment such as scheduling, operations management, combat mission planning, and training matters.
- →Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
- →DUTY 1: Manages standardization and evaluation (Stan/Eval) program for assigned flying units.
- →Makes decisions based on the capabilities, limitations, and resources for employment of unit-assigned aircraft.
- →DUTY2: Manages the flight evaluation and ground testing programs.
- →DUTY3: Schedules aircrew members and instructor aircrew members for standardization/evaluation examinations and evaluations to ensure aircrew members complete all ground requisites required for flight evaluations.
- →DUTY4: Makes periodic and comprehensive assessment of unit Stan/Eval programs through a review of performances indicators, productivity goals and accomplishments, deficiency reports, audit findings, trends and analysis reports, etc.
- →DUTY5: As required, flies as an instructor/evaluator.
Requirements
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: RETIRED MILITARY ARE USUALLY INELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE AIR FORCE RESERVE.
- ✓RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE ACTIVE AIR FORCE RESERVE ASSIGNMENTS MAY APPLY PROVIDED THEY SHOW ASSIGNMENT (POSITION AND UNIT) ON THEIR APPLICATION.
