Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer position to serve as a staff officer responsible for staff assistance and management of operational and training programs for assigned units.
- →Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
- →Duties: 1: Performs staff management over flight training activities of subordinate flying units, including unit aircrew flight currency and ground training programs. 2: Provides staff management over aircraft operations and resources.
- →Provides staff oversight to subordinate units on allocations and utilization of electronic combat assets, Night Vision Goggles (NVGs), and special mission capable weapons (if applicable). 3: Provides the Director and Division Chief a trend analysis/status report on all assigned flying units.
Requirements
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: RETIRED MILITARY ARE USUALLY INELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE AIR FORCE RESERVE.
- ✓RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE ACTIVE AIR FORCE RESERVE ASSIGNMENTS MAY APPLY PROVIDED THEY SHOW ASSIGNMENT (POSITION AND UNIT) ON THEIR APPLICATION.
