The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a crew chief and technical authority, having custody of an assigned non-fielded, prototype, pre-production, with primary responsibility for performing, coordinating, and/or overseeing the maintenance/modification and periodic inspections to the assigned aircraft.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as crew chief of assigned aircraft, responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance on aircraft that are non-fielded, prototype or preproduction, and extensively modified (Type 2) production aircraft.
- →Perform aircraft inspections including preflight, postflight, phase, and other scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
- →Diagnose and identify probable locations or malfunctions from the cockpit during engine run-up.
- →Initiate requests for unscheduled tools, equipment, and materials identified during preparation for flight.
- →Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain safe and clean work environment.
