About the Role
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →Performs troubleshooting of complex integrated electrical/environmental systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft to include support equipment. 2.
- →Performs final functional and operational tests of complex integrated electrical/ environmental systems, both on and off equipment.
- →Documents/recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting malfunctions, initiating product quality deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data, and assists in design changes as necessary. 4.
- →Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training for all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military. 5.
- →Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area.
