Join our team as an X-Ray Technologist (Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist) and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. We are seeking skilled, compassionate professionals dedicated to patient care, safety, and excellence in radiologic services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Performs routine to complex diagnostic radiographic examinations using fixed and portable imaging equipment.
- →Positions patients and selects or adjusts technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- →Provides patient care and ensures radiation safety by explaining procedures, screening patients, and monitoring patient condition during exams.
- →Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains radiographic equipment while identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions.
- →Maintains accurate radiology records and participates in infection control, quality assurance, and radiology operations activities.
- →On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
- →Position may be subject to rotating shifts: days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- →IHS Selectees that will work in an IHS health care facility may be subject to Employee Health Policies related to Measles and Rubella, and seasonal influenza immunizations.
- →Vaccine exemption requests may be available according to the National and/or Service Unit guidance.
