About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of the Commissioner, Executive Secretariat located in Washington, DC.

What You'll Do

  • Serve a Senior Writer-Editor for Office of the Executive Secretariat (OES) performing editorial reviews on sensitive written material and products developed throughout the organization.
  • This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
  • Typical duties include: Administering guidance, as an OES senior subject-matter expert, on all written products.
  • Receiving routine and congressional correspondence from CBP and DHS component offices for review, editing and occasional rewrites.
  • Managing full lifecycle of drafted products to ensure adherence to deadlines set by DHS and ensures that all products are coordinated and cleared as appropriate.

Requirements
