You will serve as a WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) of PSNS and IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will evaluate project plans and other technical documents to identify code support required to complete long and short-term overhaul, repair, and maintenance projects for nuclear and non-nuclear ships and submarines.
- →You will determine staffing (manning) requirements by evaluating the type and quantity of work to be performed and the workforce needed to complete the work.
- →You will analyze and consider factors such as skill and experience levels of employees; qualifications held by employees; effect of new work on department divisions, availability of employees; equitability and appropriateness of assignments, etc.
- →You will research, identify, and implement multi-faceted workforce management strategies.
- →You will serve as the department's point of contact for managing and facilitating administrative operations within the department directly associated with recruiting, selecting, and hiring new employees.
- →You will partner with managers to ascertain and clarify competencies related to work requirements and identify necessary technical and soft skills specific to unique positions.
- →You will participate in developing hiring/revitalization and workforce development plans.
- →You will maintain ongoing communication with various stakeholders to clarify recruitment criteria, resolve administrative delays, expedite filling critical positions, recommend process changes, and provide status updates.
