About the Position: As the workforce management specialist, incumbent will serve as the principal staff advisor to the District Commander, Corporate Board, and district staff principles on matters relating to civilian workforce management. Advises or guides managers in making the most effective workforce management program decisions that support the values and behaviors of the USACE Strategic Vision.
What You'll Do
- →Administers District-wide civilian workforce programs including the awards program by overseeing the submission, review, and tracking of national-level, honorary, performance, service, and retirement awards.
- →Develops workforce analyses, reports, briefings, policies, and recommendations for senior leadership.
- →Advises hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process.
- →Coordinates with the servicing Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA) and other district offices to facilitate personnel actions, resolve workforce issues, and ensure requests are complete, justified, and processed timely.
- →Analyzes mission requirements, workforce data, turnover trends, and projected vacancies to develop short- and long-range workforce plans, succession strategies, recruitment initiatives, and retention solutions.
- →Identifies process gaps and implements improvements to strengthen personnel-action tracking, hiring timeliness, and workforce program effectiveness.
- →Assists with position descriptions, pre-recruitment documentation, requests for personnel action, recruitment packages, and use of applicable hiring and incentive authorities.
