About the Role
You will serve as a WOODCRAFTER in the Preservation Shop 970, Production Resources Department Manager 901, Production Resources Department 900, of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will fabricate, modify, repair, and install wooden and composite components such as bulkheads, decking, foundations, forms, patterns, crates, cabinetry, and other structural or functional items.
- →You will work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine layout and assembly requirements.
- →Aligns, fits, and assembles components to achieve proper configuration, fit, and finish.
- →You will use hand tools, portable power tools, woodworking machines, and measuring instruments required to perform woodworking tasks.
