What You'll Do
- →Plans, constructs and repairs a variety of supply, shipping, and storage containers and similar items.
- →Selects proper type/grade of wood/wood substitute from a few grades of soft pine, fir, plywood, and masonite.
- →Selects containers, protective devices, cushioning materials, methods, and techniques needed for packing a variety of tools, parts, equipment, and other items.
- →Custom packs various items that cannot be made to fit into containers of standard size.
- →Applies highly detailed knowledge of cleaning, drying, remediation and preservation methods to material.
- →Operates and maintains variety of power tools, hand tools, weight handling equipment, kiln and material handling equipment.
- →Detailed record keeping hand written and on computer systems.
