About the Role
You will serve as a WELDER in the STRUCTURAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will inspect work to incur conformance to nuclear reactor plant specification prior to submitting that work for formal inspection.
- →You will produce a very high quality weld on a continuing basis which must pass very high x-ray standards and specifications.
- →You will direct helpers, apprentices, and fire watchers.
- →You will observe safety rules and regulations of the activity.
- →You will perform welding operations primarily on nuclear and non-nuclear piping and pressure vessels.
