About the Role
You will serve as a WELDER SUPERVISOR I in the STRUCTURAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, Structural Shop of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will be planning the assignments of personnel, using equipment, facilitating scheduling qualifications and training and developing specialized skills and procedures.
- →You will be providing higher-level supervisors with written and verbal status.
- →You will be scheduling, coordinating and directing the accomplishment of work projects or operation in accordance with project needs and schedules.
- →You will be developing or providing input to develop processes and procedures for accomplishing the work.
- →You will be promoting and administering management programs such as safety, employee ideas, quality assurance, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and energy conservation.
