You will serve as a Waterfront Program Manager, a senior expert and advisor of COMNAVSURFLANT.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the principal on-site agent for the TYCOM, charged with embedding in the waterfront environment to identify and analyze complex, and often novel, readiness impediments that affect ships across the force.
- →You will maintain effective, continuing communications and builds trusted relationships with the ship's triad (CO, XO, CMC) and Department Heads on all SURFLANT ships.
- →You will independently investigate systemic problems, which may involve leading ad hoc teams of technical experts, program office representatives, and ship's force to diagnose root causes.
- →You will exercise broad authority to deconflict competing interests and remove barriers between organizations to ensure fleet-prioritized issues are resolved.
- →You will lead and direct ad hoc, cross-functional teams and special projects chartered to resolve complex, systemic readiness issues.
- →You will develop the strategic approach for major readiness programs, including defining the technical approach.
- →You will translate waterfront observations and data into data-driven, strategic policy recommendations.
- →You will represent the TYCOM in high-level conferences, meetings, and working groups.
- →You will interpret, implement, and provide guidance addressing directives from higher authority regarding Readiness policies and procedures.
- →You will provide expert mentorship and guidance to CNSG staff and other TYCOM N-codes on complex readiness issues, ensuring alignment of effort across the force.
