About the Role
This position is with the Graphics and Presentations Division (GPD), Executive Services Directorate (ESD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). GPD is responsible for providing comprehensive visual aids and presentations program for all activities of the Office of the Secretary of War.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Designs and produces highly complex visual information products-including briefing charts, publications, historical books, original vector art, and infographics-supporting the executive, administrative, scientific, and legislative missions of the Department of War (DoW).
- →Analyzes project requirements and plans visual media strategies across digital and print platforms by consulting with leadership and analysts to determine necessary resources, timelines, and alternative production methods for meeting short-notice deadlines.
- →Creates, fabricates, and updates large-scale visual displays, including designing new exhibits, maintaining permanent/temporary displays throughout the Pentagon, and producing internal and external facility signage.
- →Applies advanced knowledge of specialized graphic design software (including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, FlexiSIGN, and Filemaker Pro) to produce sophisticated multimedia presentations for all levels of officials within the Office of the Secretary of War.
- →Operates specialized physical production equipment-such as laser engravers, wide-format printers, and computerized mat cutters-to physically fabricate final visual products, ensuring high overall quality and the successful accomplishment of project objectives.
