About the Role

This position is located on the Inyo National Forest with duty station of Lone Pine or Bishop, CA. This position is responsible for the daily operation of a Visitor Services Center including a program of interpretive and education programs, operations, natural resources, partnerships, and supervision. What You'll Do

  • Use written and verbal information to present detailed program information.
  • Develop interpretive and environmental education programs, media and exhibits for use at a Visitor Center.
  • Provide visitor information services to the public through the daily operation of a Visitor Service Center.
  • Coordinate the public participation program to involve interested publics in the decision-making processes.
  • Plan the work to be accomplished by assigning work to employees and establishing production or quality standards for the unit’s work.
  • Performs supervisory duties 20% or less of the time.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S.
  • Citizen or National.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
