This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), with vacancies in Ketchikan, AK; Honolulu, HI; Gulfport, MS; Newport, OR; Newport, RI. What You'll Do
- →As a Vessel Support Assistant, you will perform the following duties: Assist with office administration tasks to include, Time & Attendance (T&A), Pay and Leave, and travel arrangements; ensure timely/accurate accounting in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
- →Support administrative functions related to vessel commands.
- →Support the administrative officer by acting on administrative matters relating to new or revised personnel requirements, regulations procedures, and administrative files.
- →NOTE: These duties are described at the full performance level of the ZS-04; The ZS-03 is developmental leading to such performance.
- →This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- →Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- →The ZS-3 is equivalent to the GS-05/06.
- →The ZS-4 is equivalent to the GS-07/08.
- →CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: This position requires the operation of a Federal motor vehicle.
- →Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a government vehicle in completion of assigned tasks.
- →PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
