What You'll Do
- →Serves as a DLA Troop Support Planner in support of Executive Agency execution or supply classes I, II, IV, and VIII, within the Operational Plans Support Branch, Future Operations Division (J3/5).
- →Coordinates with and advises supported Combatant Commands, Major Commands, and other DoD component and agencies.
- →Provides authoritative advice and technical guidance to direct the design, development, execution and promulgation of operational and contingency plans for worldwide support in the assigned Theater of Operation.
- →Evaluates theater/contingency operational plans and assesses DLA Troop Support's supporting tasks and missions through day-to-day analysis and periodic testing during JCS and Combatant Command sponsored exercises.
- →Resolves operation plan shortfalls, limitations and other conditions that impact on DLA's ability to perform its wartime logistics support mission.
- →Continually monitors Agency planning initiatives and new initiatives in order to provide information for use by Combatant Command, DLA senior managers, support staff, and the Military Services.
- →Continually monitors Agency planning initiatives and new initiatives in order to provide information for use by Federal Civilian Agencies, Foreign Allies, the Joint Staff and other DoD officials.
- →Determines the need for special reports to keep superiors current on all major doctrinal developments within the Combatant Commander's theater of operation.
- →Advises senior DLA officials of any Combatant Command support issues that impact on the Agency.
