As a Transportation Management Specialist in National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Program Integration (OPI), Aviation Operations Division (AOD), your primary responsibility will to provide technical safety and procedural guidance to federal and contract personnel in support of OST aviation missions.
What You'll Do
- →As a Transportation Management Specialist, you will: Provide technical guidance and expertise for aviation cargo loading, restraints, and passenger procedures.
- →Develop and maintain tailored guidance, based on aircraft and transportation manuals, for quantity, weight and configuration of the cargo, floor capacity, and emergency requirements.
- →Observes cargo loading, restraint training, and on/off-loading operations being performed.
- →Conducts a comprehensive debrief to ensure that the desired learning objectives were achieved, and rules were followed.
- →Determines additional training requirements to advance proficiency in cargo operations while maintaining the lowest possible accident rate.
- →Serves as a member of working groups as a technical expert in areas of systems safety, risk management, explosives safety, radiation safety and cargo flight operations as it pertains to aviation.
- →Develops and implements ground safety programs consistent with aircraft maintenance and flight line program operations.
- →Advises the director of aviation on the adequacy of aviation maintenance safety programs, major repairs and alterations programs, hangar maintenance programs.
Requirements

- ✓Must be able to obtain/maintain a Q level Security Clearance.
- ✓You must be a United States Citizen.
