About the Position: This position is responsible for providing assistance with managing the Range Training facilities at Fort Devens Reserve Forces Training Area and facilities. This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
What You'll Do
- →Inspects and oversees usage of training areas by active duty and reserve components of all military services.
- →Assists the Range Safety Officer in monitoring all firing and training activities conducted within the range Completes paperwork for issue/turn-in of equipment provided for use during exercises Operates the firing desk and maintains fire control boards/computer systems to reflect current range and training area status and activities.
- →Provide tracking airspace utilization data and submit an annual utilization report.
- →Coordinates medical evacuation, fire, accident, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and other emergency requests between using units and responding personnel.
- →Notifies Devens Fire Department in case of range or brush fire.
