The primary purpose of this position is to manage, supervise, and direct all traffic management functions performed by the Deployment and Distribution Flight, which is located organizationally within the Logistics Readiness Squadron. Exercises second level supervisory and managerial authorities.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, organizes, supervises, and oversees the activities and employees of the Deployment and Distribution Flight.
- →Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and traffic management objectives.
- →Plans and directs all cargo movement traffic management functions and passenger travel and personal property shipment and storage activities for the installation and DoD assigned area of operation.
- →Directs the small air terminal cargo and passenger operations.
- →Serves as the Wing Commander's focal point for orchestrating daily and long-range utilization of the air terminal to ensure accomplishment of assigned mission as well as maximum support for deployment operations.
- →Responsibilities in readiness, mobility, and deployment operations include providing technical direction, and management and evaluation of the transportation, traffic management, and unit movement aspects of the DoD transportation movement program on a worldwide basis.
- →Represents the Deployment and Distribution Flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other Flights in the Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, Wing, MAJCOM, and Headquarter United States Air Force (HQ USAF).
