What You'll Do
- →Position Description #D1278000 POSITION DUTIES: This position is located in a State ARNG Aviation Support Facility (AASF)/Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD)/Army Aviation Training Site (ATTS) Logistics Function.
- →The purpose of this position is to serve as a Small Shop Chief (SSC) with the responsibility for the overall operations of a small shop.
- →The position oversees and directs the work of WG-5378, Powered Support Systems Mechanics, who are assigned to the shop.
- →The incumbent performs the full range of non-supervisory work of the shop.
- →MAJOR DUTIES: (1) Serves as a Small Shop Chief performing all of the following tasks: (a) Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop which is then completed by the individual and lower graded worker(s).
- →(b) Possesses the knowledge and skills found at the journeyman level as well as those required for planning, accomplishing and maintaining a functional shop maintenance program.
- →(2) Performs the same type and level of work as performed within the unit.
- →(3) Implements safety regulatory requirements.
- →Ensures that other workers in the shop wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
- →(4) Participates in various types of readiness preparations, inspections, evaluations, and mobilization and command support exercises. ???????(5) Performs other duties as assigned.
