You will serve as a Technician in the Fleet Support Branch (WXMY), Maritime Electromagnetic Spectrum Mission Systems Div. (WMX), Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Dept. (WX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equal to the GS-13/14. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).
What You'll Do
- →You will participate in technical events, engineering investigations, test events, and provide guidance to journeymen on overall system and sub-system operation and maintenance.
- →You will interface and make recommendations with Maritime Electronic Warfare personnel from the In Service Engineering Agency (ISEA), Program Office, ships force, and other government partners.
- →You will oversee and provide technical assistance in the installing of SEWIP Block 2 and 3 upgrades, ensuring systems are installed IAW US Navy specifications, on time, and within budget in addition to supporting in service and testing requirements.
- →You will interface with Maritime Electronic Warfare personnel, IWS2 Program Office Managers, SEA21 and PMR liaisons for production updates from shipyard assigned contractors, and AIT civilian assigned workers.
- →You will develop, review, modify, comment, and make recommendations for selected portions or complete data packages.
- →You will consult with other technicians, project engineers, and contractors to exchange information, coordinate on projects and discuss/resolve complex electronics engineering and administrative problems in support of the SEWIP enterprise.
