About the Role
You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER in the Electronic Warfare Branch (E66), Weapons Research and Evaluation Division (E6), Systems Engineering Department (E) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the Senior Technical/Project Manager in the Electronic Warfare Branch for the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (JCREW) Program.
- →You will prepare project status and financial analysis reports; track action items as related to JCREW; and review project execution schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
- →You will identify and mitigate any risks and issues within the program schedule, cost, and completion of tasks; present status of work efforts at program team meetings.
- →You will coordinate with internal teams as well as resource sponsors and stakeholders to develop and negotiate cost estimates and proposals with government and industry customers; and support various JCREW related tasks.
- →You will provide expert advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors, and provide technical leadership to other staff within the organization.
- →You will plan, guide, and coordinate work within groups to execute assigned tasking, and construct reviews of technical merit.
- →You will be responsible for the planning, direction, and success of your assigned efforts, and regularly conduct plans and presentations to inform project status.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
